Persian Santur Tuner (“the App”) is developed by Charles Roux. This policy describes how the App handles information.
- Summary
The App works entirely on your iPhone. It does not create an account, does not require the internet, and does not send your data to a server. Audio from the microphone is used only on the device to detect pitch and is not stored or uploaded.
- Information we do not collect
We do not collect, sell, or share personal information such as your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or identifiers for advertising. The App does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking.
- Microphone
The App asks for microphone access so it can listen to your santur and show how close each string is to the target pitch.
- Microphone audio is processed on your device only.
- It is not recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.
- You can refuse access. You can still hear reference tones by tapping notes; the live tuner will not work until you allow the microphone in iOS Settings.
- Information stored on your device
The App saves your preferences on the device (for example A4 pitch, the in-tune window, and koron/sori interval sizes). This stays on your iPhone and is not transmitted. Deleting the App removes it.
- Children
The App is intended for a general audience, including people under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
- Third parties
The App does not include third-party analytics, ads, or social SDKs. Apple may process information as described in Apple’s privacy policy when you download the App from the App Store.
- Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
